The TIN Festival at Düsseldorf was such a beautiful experience! And the final concert at the Jazz Schmiede has been amazing!
It was so nice to play with Pop up Band and than mixing with Anthropos and Here and Wow singers. I enjoyed it so much ... really a lot of fun!!

And now what's up?
I'm preparing the Christmas concerts with my choir Voci per Aria in Italy, and I'm almost ready to go to Bruxelles for a two-day workshop "Sound and Silence" on January 13-14. So excited!! Thanks to my friend Baptiste Vaes and Chispa

Sound and Silence
What does "make a solo" mean? ... making love with the Silence.
How patterns can be put together in order to create the right vocal band to support a solo. Then participants will be asked to play solos in different ways and with different ingredients. And the Silence is an ingredient extremely important ! Exercises are proposed to develop listening skills, patterns and melodies with pauses (silence) at specific points of the measure, so as to have to distribute musical ideas in an unconventional way... Music... and the war
|
During World War II, Steinway and Sons produced specially-built pianos for the American troops. Called the Victory Vertical or G.I. Steinways, the pianos were sometimes airdropped onto battlefields to provide a bit of relaxation. They were manufactured in Steinway’s Queen-based factory and mostly sold to the U.S. government.
|
At first, Steinway was prohibited from building pianos due to government restrictions on iron, copper, brass, and other raw materials. The factory bided its time producing coffins and parts for troop transport gliders, until it was granted a contract to send specially designed pianos to commissioned war soldiers. Steinway proceeded to make over 3,000 “Victory Vertical” pianos designed specifically for troops in battle between 1942 and 1953. The pianos came in olive, blue, and gray drab. In 1942, the first “Victory Vertical” was dropped by parachute, complete with tuning equipment and instructions. (continue)

TWILT - The Way I LOOP Tonight
Vocal improvisation with a looper and electronics
Born in April 202 to make up for the impossibility of singing and improvising in person, the project has progressively evolved to become a constant broadcast on my YouTube channel, live 3 times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6.30pm (CET) (as far as the end of 2022). Free meetings with a cappella vocal improvisation. 20 minutes of free improvisation with a looper and electronics, to let yourself go and sing along. Not a concert, but a real improvisation to be shared (even if the microphones are turned off).
|
|
The project came to fruition with the production of a new totally improvised discographic work, which collects the best creations made during the live shows.
|
|
After a one-year hiatus, TWILT will resume on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

A way to continue to put myself out there, with a high amount of risk and to try to access my creative vein ever more deeply. Participants, as usual, can contribute to my inspiration by sending melodic patterns, images, suggestions and ideas to contact@demovoxlab.com

Thanks in advance to all those who want to be part of my new adventure! On my YouTube channel you can listen to everything I did so far: 125 episodes, for a total of 375 different improvisations, unique and unrepeatable! The best parts of them have become "Sound Pictures"
